BAFTA – TV Craft Awards

On Sunday night I was invited to attend the BAFTA TV Craft awards on behalf of Mad Dog Casting. I am Head of Casting – London at Mad Dog and we provided background artists to a lot of the productions that were being nominated. I was joined by Vicki Sutton, who is also Head of Casting at Mad Dog and heads up our Welsh office.  Mad Dog were sponsoring the Best Costume Design award. The pressure of what to wear is high when you know you are going to be photographed with someone that is an expert on clothes.  I opted for this Mary L, Vintage Couture dress.  The dress was £90 from Oxfam and 100% silk.

Congratulations to the very deserving costume design winner FOTINI DIMOU who won her award for her fantastic work on The Dresser.

Working in the industry, I was also thrilled to see Nina Gold take the special achievement award for casting. Casting is such a creative process and it was lovely to see her being recognised.  The award was presented to her by Stanley Tucci and Jim Broadbent, who were hilarious and have both been cast by her in the past. She accepted the award on behalf all casting directors out there.  Thank you Nina.
